Watch: Satwik-Chirag celebrate Korea Open 2023 title win in ‘Gangnam style’

India’s prominent men’s doubles pair Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty claimed their third BWF World Tour title of the year after winning the Korea Open 2023 title. Satwik-Chirag got the better of top-seed and World no. 1, Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Rian Ardianto, in the final with a score line of 17-21, 21-13, 21-14. Also known as the ‘Brothers of Destruction’, the Indian pair came back strongly to win despite losing the first set.

Just after winning the BWF World Tour 500 event, Satwik and Chirag who are also known for their celebrations post their victory in any major tournament, showcased their dancing skills to the fans gathered at the Jinnam Stadium in Yeosu. They brought an extra layer of fun to their celebrations after their victory at the Korea Open as they broke into the popular ‘Gangnam style’ dance.

The victory at the Korea Open 2023 marked Satwik and Chirag’s third BWF World Tour title victory and fourth title overall in 2023. This year, the Indian pair had previously emerged as the champion at the Swiss Open in March (Super 300), Badminton Asia Championships in April, and the Indonesia Open in June (Super 1000) titles.
